Gelareh Momen
Co-chair

Professor, Department of Aerospace Engineering – ÉTS

Professor Dr. Gelareh Momen, Eng., is a full-time professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at ÉTS and holds the Institutional Chair in Innovative Anti-Icing Materials (CIMAGI) at the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi (UQAC), Canada.

She founded the LaRGIS laboratory, specializing in the development of ice-phobic coatings and surface engineering, and was also the scientific director of the International Laboratory for Anti-Icing Materials (LIMA). She has been among the top 2% of the most cited scientists in the world in her field, according to the annual update of Stanford University’s Bibliometric Database.

Her research focuses on the development of innovative anti-icing materials designed to optimize winter operations at airports and reduce the risk of ice accumulation on various infrastructures, including aircraft, helicopters, drones, wind turbines, electricity transmission networks, and other structures exposed to northern environments. Her contributions help improve the resilience of critical infrastructure subjected to harsh climatic conditions.

Mehran Ebrahimi
Co-chair

Professor, Department of Management – ESG UQAM / Vice-Dean of Research

Mehran Ebrahimi, Ph.D., is a full professor in the Department of Management at the School of Management Sciences (ESG UQAM) of the University of Quebec at Montreal. He is the director of the International Observatory of Aeronautics and Civil Aviation. He also directs the LIA, the Aerospace Innovation Living Lab at the Montreal Metropolitan Airport. He is currently Vice-Dean of Research at ESG-UQAM. He is also the international vice-president of the learned association AGECSO (Association for Knowledge Management in Society and Organizations). He is a member of the international network for innovation and foresight (r2ip).

His research interests focus on knowledge management, digital transformation and artificial intelligence in high-tech sectors, particularly aeronautics and aviation.

His perspective on management is deeply rooted in the daily realities of organizations. It is part of a human and critical vision of management, and he co-authored with Anne-Laure Saives the book "Rehumanized Management" (Chenelière), which won the prize for best book in higher education management in France in 2018.
